A 12 hour run lie in store for an area coach this weekend, conducted in honor of his granddaughter, suffering from epileptic seizures.
John Dietrich is a physical education instructor at Holton Middle School, as well as a high school softball coach.
Also an avid runner, Dietrich decided to take that passion and use it as a fundraiser for little Lila Belle(Play Audio)
Dietrich, on Saturday, will spend twelve hours-from six in the morning until six that evening-on the track at the Holton High School.
At the same time, young Lila Belle's maternal grandfather, Steve McGaughey, will do the same in Lindsborg, with both grandfathers running to raise funds for the family's medical expenses(Play Audio)
Dietrich has been planning for Saturday's run, outlining a strategy for his 12 hours on the track(Play Audio)
Financial donations, to assist Lila Belle, and her family, are already being collected(Play Audio)
Dietrich encourages anyone and everyone to drop by the Holton High School track between and six and six on Saturday to cheer him on, and lend moral support to his goal of seeing his young granddaughter get the medical help she needs.
