Three theft cases, dating back to late last month, are under investigation by the Nemaha County Sheriff's Department.
Although they are unrelated, the three incidents add up to losses of over 50-thousand-dollars, with one involving an internet scam.
Although the full details of how the scam was committed aren't yet available, it's known that the victim suffered a loss of 37-thousand-dollars.
A press release from the Nemaha County Sheriff says the report of theft by deception, involving an internet scam, was received on February 28th.
Another theft-this one involving a vehicle-happened days earlier, and left the owner without a 1979 Chrysler New Yorker.
The Sheriff's report says it happened sometime just prior to February 25th, when someone entered a building at 1575 16th road and made off with the vehicle.
The loss is estimated at one-thousand-dollars.
Another case, this one reported February 29th, involves missing soybeans.
It happened at Ag Partners Cooperative, of Sabetha, when someone stole the load, valued at over 13-thousand-dollars.
The cases remain under investigation, and anyone with information about the crimes should notify the Nemaha County Sheriff's Department.
