Royal Valley 34 - Hiawatha 33 Boys 4A Sub-State First Round
In a tight, back and forth rubber match game, Hiawatha's Kooper Winterscheidt took the final shot in heavy traffic around the goal.....with a miss and with no-whistle, the Royal Valley Panthers held on for a home victory to keep their season alive at 13-8. The Panthers missed a 1-1 free throw with :19 left to give Hiawatha a chance at the end. Joel Worrell led all scorers with 17 points and Nick Tuck chipped in 10 as the Panthers improved to 9-3 at home. Winterscheidt led Hiawatha with 11 points but the Hawks ended their season 6-15.
