A Holton woman is facing charges in a check forgery case.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department arrested 30-year-old Danielle Shekera Beechum Saturday on charges of identity theft, two counts of forgery and possession of stolen property.
Sheriff Tim Morse says the sheriff’s office received a report from a citizen that they were the victim of the theft of checks.
Morse said a check had been allegedly passed at the Trail’s Cafe in Holton on February 15th and a second check was allegedly passed at Jhett’s Pizza in Holton on February 17th.
Beechum is being held in the Jackson County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.
The Holton Police Department assisted with the investigation.
