Savings for the City of Holton are now passed on to employees.
That decision was made this week when the City Commission met for regular business.
City Manager Bret Bauer says the unexpected, recent finding that roughly 9% savings was included in the city's Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance plan is now returned, in part, to employees who paid in(Play Audio :17 seconds)
Meanwhile, convenience for Holton residents is now in place, with the city finalizing the ability to utilize the online bill payment program(Play Audio :35 seconds)
Bauer calls the process simple, but says customers signing up must have a copy of a past bill for reference in order to enter their account number and name exactly as found on that paperwork.
