No change. That's the outcome of a Tuesday morning meeting, held in Hiawatha, focused on the fate of local school league membership.
At issue has been ongoing discussion regarding the possibility of forming a new league, with current DVL member, Horton High School among those seeking such a change.

Apparently, based on the mornings discussion, school leadership of Nemaha Valley and Sabetha, showed no interest in leaving the Big 7 League.
Travel distance to match-ups, inter-league disagreements, and related factors, have played into the desire to see the formation of a new league, which, according to proponents, would be in the best interest of the schools and their student athletes.
Although most commonly referenced with athletics, league membership affects all aspects of a schools' competitive extracurricular activities, including band, forensics, debate and other interscholastic events.
