Woods faces charges for burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property, while Jimenez-Saavedra was taken into custody for burglary, theft, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and interference with law enforcement.
According to a release from Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, police officers were called to the 200 block of North 3rd Street, around 9:00 Saturday morning, for the report of a burglary at that location.
The investigation that followed “determined that forced entry had been made during the night into an apartment located within the apartment complex,” with clothing and household items taken.
The two women were located and arrested by police.
They were booked into the Atchison County Jail.
The stolen items have been recovered.
