(KMZA)--An Oneida man was arrested on a Nemaha County bench warrant for a probation violation after he was found hiding in the attic of a home.
The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department says deputies made contact with 28-year-old Dustin Barrett Monday in Oneida where he attempted to elude law enforcement by hiding in the attic.
The department’s K-9 was deployed and Barrett was taken into custody.
He now faces additional charges of felony interference with law enforcement, driving while suspended, no liability insurance and no registration.
Barrett remains in the Nemaha County Jail on a total bond of $75,000--$25,000 on the bench warrant and $50,000 on the new charges.
