(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners made several decisions concerning road projects when they met Tuesday.
Bids received September 20th for the construction of the bridge abutment repairs and paving approach sections on the bridge at the Mouth of the Nemaha southeast of Rulo were rejected.
Commissioners did award the bid for several armor coat projects in the County. Topkote Inc. of Yankton, South Dakota, submitted the low bid and will be paid in excess of $153,000 for a total of 7.75 miles of work. Projects include 4.5 miles on the Boy Scout Road south of Humboldt, 3 miles of armor coating on 712 Road north of Falls City, a half-mile of work on the road into Barada and just over a half-mile of improvements will be made on a road in Preston.
The work is to be completed from mid-May to mid-June, 2017.
Contracts were approved with Malone Construction of Douglas, Nebraska, for culvert projects in the Salem and Stella area.
