(KAIR)--Special recognition for a local coach.
Longtime Benedictine College Head Football Coach Larry Wilcox was named to the 2016 Hall of Fame by the NAIA Thursday.
Announcement of the induction of Coach Wilcox was delivered by NAIA President and CEO Jim Carr in a video posted to YouTube.
The video release was timed with the NAIA's National Awards Day.
Wilcox will be officially inducted into the Hall of Fame at the annual American Football Coaches Association Convention in Nashville, Tennessee in January.
Wilcox has held the position of Head Football Coach at the Atchison-based Catholic college since 1979.
