(KNZA)--A two-vehicle Jefferson County wreck Monday afternoon sent a Meriden woman to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the wreck occurred on K-4 Highway about five miles south of Meriden around 2:20.
The Patrol says a SUV driven by Debra Tarwater was northbound when she slowed due to traffic and her vehicle was struck in the rear bumper by a northbound car driven by 18-year-old Valley Falls resident Brylee Dawn Coleman.
Tarwater was transported to Topeka's Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center with unspecified injuries. Coleman was not hurt.
The Patrol says both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
