Boil Water Advisory Issued for Reserve
09/02/2016

(KNZA)--A boil water advisory has been issued for the Brown County community of Reserve.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment issued the advisory Friday due to the loss of pressure, which may result in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination .

That comes after a construction crew installing a gas line hit a water line Thursday evening.

Crews were working Friday on restoring water service.

Water customers are advised to boil the water they use for drinking and food preparation for one minute prior to use or to use bottled water.

The boil advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
