(KMZA)--A trailer reported stolen from Nemaha County, Kansas late last month has been recovered in Pawnee County, Nebraska.
According to the Nemaha County Sheriff's office, the 24-foot enclosed trailer valued at $5,000 was found abandoned Sunday near Liberty, Nebraska.
The trailer had contained a variety of hand and power tools along with construction equipment valued an estimated nearly $12,000. However, the sheriff's office says the trailer was empty when it was found.
The Pawnee County Sheriff's office says the trailer was found on a minimum maintenance road near the Pawnee/Gage County line after a phone call from a concerned resident.
The trailer was taken sometime late August 27th or early August 28th from 2910 O Road in rural Bern.
The investigation continues.
