(KAIR)--Atchison's Sixth Street viaduct has re-opened, just in time for this weekend's Amelia Earhart Festival.
City officials reported Thursday afternoon that work on the viaduct has been completed. Work started early last month, and officials remained hopeful throughout the project that work would be completed in time for the festival.
Bottorff Construction, the primary contractor for the $271,000 project, will periodically be on site to finish up some minor repairs.
