(KAIR)--An Atchison man, accused of sex crimes against a minor child, has entered a plea in the case.
37-year-old Charles Philips made an appearance in Atchison County District Court Friday morning, where he plead not guilty to six counts-including one count of rape, three counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, one count of aggravated sodomy, and one count of criminal sodomy.
A jury trial is set to begin September 15th.
Philips was arrested in January, after a police investigation showed that he had allegedly sexually abused the female victim multiple times over a three year period, starting in the fall of 2011, when she was 11-years-old.
