(KAIR)--A Kansas City, Kansas man is jailed in Atchison County following a fight in Effingham that sent one to the hospital.
According to a news release issued by Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie, it happened sometime Tuesday, on 309 Howard Street, when 52-year-old Michael Potts allegedly struck the victim in the head with what authorities believe was a pry bar tool.
The blow caused massive lacerations to the victim's head, leading to a trip first to the Atchison Hospital and then to Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph.
Potts was arrested at the scene and booked into the Atchison County Jail on a charge of aggravated battery.
