(KAIR)--An Atchison man, accused of causing serious injuries to a 2-year-old child, will spend just over two and a half years in prison for the crime.
34-year-old Christopher McNeal appeared in Atchison County District Court Monday afternoon, where Judge Robert Bednar sentenced him to a total of thirty two months in prison on one count of abuse of a child. Upon his release, he will be placed on two years of supervised probation.
McNeal was arrested in February in Clay County, Missouri after an Atchison Police Department investigation showed that he had allegedly caused serious injuries to the head and abdomen of the child.
