(KNZA)--A Horton man charged in two counties with sex-related crimes involving a child under the age of 14 has been sentenced in Brown County to nearly 7 ½ years in prison.
20-year-old Dallas Bond was sentenced Monday to a total of 91 months in prison on four counts—including kidnapping, sexual exploitation of a child, identity fraud and felony theft.
He pleaded “ no contest” to the charges last month which were contained in an amended complaint filed May 20th.
Authorities say Bond took the child, under false pretenses, to a Holton motel room last August where alleged sexual offenses were committed. He was also charged with stealing several items from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department where he previously worked as a dispatcher.
Bond faces six felony counts in Jackson County—including rape. He is scheduled to enter a plea Friday in Jackson County District Court.
