(KNZA)--A preliminary hearing is now set for a Hoyt man accused of sex crimes involving a child under the age of 14.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says Leon Holloway made his first appearance in a Jackson County courtroom on Monday where an October 22nd Preliminary Hearing was scheduled.
He's charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated indecent liberties with a child and attempted rape. The crimes are alleged to have occurred between April, 2012 and March of this year in the city of Hoyt.
The 49-year-old Holloway remains jailed in Jackson County where he's held on a $75,000 bond.
He was arrested in May following an investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office that led to the execution of a search warrant at Holloway's home on April 28th.
A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was located in May at a residence in Osage County, Kansas.
