(KAIR)--An Atchison man was taken into custody late Tuesday morning on a Doniphan County warrant.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says his department was notified by Doniphan County authorities that a warrant had been issued charging 25-year-old Andrew Tipton with aggravated escape from custody, theft, criminal damage to property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tipton was arrested at a residence in the 300 block of Kearney after police found him hiding in a closet. He was booked into the Atchison County Jail on the warrant.
According to online jail records he has since been transported to Doniphan County where he remains in custody.
