(KAIR)--The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced that the second phase of the pavement replacement project on U.S. 73/K-7 in Leavenworth County has been completed.
According to a release from KDOT, the stretch of highway between the Seventh and Tenth Street intersections opened Tuesday morning.
Phase three of the project is currently underway, and the section of U.S. 73/K-7 from Tenth Street to Fourteenth Street has been reduced to one lane in each direction. Phase three work started on June tenth, and is expected to be completed in mid to late July of this year, weather permitting.
