Brown County Sheriff John Merchant
(KNZA)--With extreme heat expected across the area this weekend, leading to a Heat Advisory for the local area Saturday, staying cool in the hame of health becomes a priority.
Brown County Sheriff John Merchant understands that some residents may not have air conditioning, meaning they will be hit hard by the hot temperatures.
In order to assist those in need, Merchant is offering the use of the basement at the Sheriff's Office, in Hiawatha, as a hot weather shelter for those who need it.
