(KLZA)-- An August 12th jury trial has been set for a Humboldt man facing charges in a domestic assault case.
33-year-old Eddy Falkner pleaded " not guilty" Tuesday in Richardson County District Court to a felony charge of strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault.
Falkner was released on a personal recognizance bond.
On May 20th, Richardson County Deputy Lewis Barker was dispatched to a Humboldt home in the 900 block of Central Avenue due to a domestic disturbance. A woman at the residence alleged that Falkner, who she described as her boyfriend, struck her and later choked her.
Two young children were at the scene at the time of the alleged assault.
