(KMZA)--A preliminary hearing is set Monday for a Marysville woman accused of trafficking a minor for prostitution.
19-year-old Miranda Cain has been charged in Marshall County District Court with aggravated human trafficking of a child and commercial sexual exploitation of a child.
According to a news release from Marysville Police Chief Tim Ackerman, Cain was arrested June 4th after the police department and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department conducted an undercover operation at a local motel investigating the alleged crimes. A juvenile was taken into protective custody at the time.
Ackerman says the motel was not associated with the alleged crimes.
He said as part of the investigation, a warrant was obtained to search a residence in Oketo.
Cain remains in the Marshall County jail on a $150,000 bond.
