(KNZA)--The Sabetha Police Department is investigating a rash of criminal activity that occurred over the weekend.
Chief of Police Robert Wahwasuck says sometime early Saturday someone broke the window out of the Right Stuff Thrift Store in the 300 block of South 9th Street and made entry into the store. Taken was a cash register.
Also Saturday morning Wahwasuck says someone stole a vehicle from the 900 block of Jefferson Street. The vehicle was later found abandoned at another location in Sabetha
In addition, he says police took 12 reports of burglaries to motor vehicles, where loose change, stereo equipment and handtools were taken.
Wahwasuck says police have already interviewed a couple of possible suspects and plan on bringing more in. In addition, he says they have collected evidence from the crime scenes which they plan to submit to the KBI for testing in hopes of identifying a suspect or suspects.
Washwasuck urges anyone with information on the crimes to contact the Sabetha Police Department.
