(KNZA)--The Brown County Historical Society and the Morrill Public Library in Hiawatha will host a preservation workshop on Saturday, June 27th.
The free workshop will take place at the Library at 10:30 that morning.
Shannon Hsu, curator of collections for Shawnee Town 1929 in Shawnee, will present the workshop. Hsu cares for the museum’s collection, develops living history exhibits and conducts research about Shawnee in the 1920’s.
Hsu is the past president of the Kansas Museums Association.
The workshop is part of the Kansas Humanities Council’s “ The Things They Carried Home” special veterans initiative, which aims to fund projects that preserve and give access to material related to military service in the last century.
