(KLZA)-- The Johnson-Brock Board of Education accepted the resignation of Pre-school teacher Jennifer Bauman and offered a contract to Daniel Gossman as a Middle School teacher for the 2015-16 school year when they met this week.
An Interlocal contract for Enrichment Activities with the Lincoln Public Schools for the 2015-16 school year for services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing was approved.
Superintendent Jeff Koehler informed the Board members he has visited with Richard Meyer regarding the street improvement leading to the football field at Johnson. Concerns were voiced about a new drain and fence around the field.
Terry Benham spoke to the Board about new mandatory band participation for 5th grade students. He was concerned abut the summer schedule and marching band. Superintendent Koehler advised that the marching band is not mandatory for this group until they reach the 9th grade.
Koehler also discussed old trophies. Jayse Koehler has been sorting through them and taking pictures which will be cataloged on the Johnson-Brock website.
