(KLZA)-- The Tecumseh State Correctional Institution remains locked down with custody and caseworkers currently working four, 12-hours shifts per week.
According to a Thursday update maintenance and cleaning of the areas affected during a May disturbance is ongoing. As of Wednesday a new feeding procedure was implemented with galleries of housing units rotating eating breakfast in the dining hall in small numbers.
Movement is still limited and inmates are not allowed to loiter on the yard or living unit. Showers continue to be done on a rotating basis by housing unit. A 10 minute shower is allowed and 15 minutes is allowed for a phone call or time in the dayroom.
Medication is being dispensed on the units. Legal visits are accommodated as needed, legal calls are being coordinated through unit staff. Prison officials are also reviewing activities daily, with adjustments and additions needed.
