(KAIR)--A continuance has been granted in the case of a Muscotah woman accused of abusing her three month old son.
22-year-old Heidi Pace appeared in Atchison County District Court Monday afternoon, where Judge Martin Asher set a new status hearing date for June 15th at the request of her attorney John Kurth.
Pace was arrested in April after a social worker with Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City reported to the Atchison County Sheriff's Office that a child was being treated for injuries believed to have been the result of abuse.
Pace remains in the Atchison County Jail, held on a $100,000 bond.
