(KMZA)--Community Physicians Clinic will be the name for both Marysville-based medical clinics following a merger that becomes official on June 2nd.
Community Memorial Healthcare, in a press release, says the change comes as the current Community Physicians Clinic and Marysville Clinic are combined into one entity.
The goal to make that happen has long been explored by the CMH medical staff and hospital leadership.
The staff of the Marysville Clinic will be moved to Community Physicians Clinic and combine with the current staff at that location. Jean Stillwell will serve as clinic manager.
Hospital Administrator Curtis Hawkinson says the merger will provide opportunities to maximize resources and efficiencies while improving scheduling.
Remodeling of the Community Physicians Clinic, located at 1902 May Street, is on schedule and nearing completion.
A public open house is being planned for later this year.
The Blue Rapids Medical Clinic and the Community Physicians Clinic in Wymore, Nebraska, will not be affected by the merger.
