(KAIR)--The City of Muscotah is planning a full day of events with the annual Rose Festival set for Saturday.
Festival President Ed Higley says there are numerous activities that will take place throughout the day including a car, tractor and motorcycle show downtown on the highway from 8:00am-2:00pm, a bike and trike parade at 10:00, the rose garden tour from 10:00am-3:00pm, kids games from 1:00pm-3:00pm, a rifle and handgun compition from 10:00am-3:00pm, and a kids ping pong ball scramble at 10:30.
Other activities include a garden tractor pull at 11:00, a tractor parade at 11:30, and storytime at 2:00. Entertainment featuring local singers will also be featured from noon until 3:00.
Higley says there will be several vendors available, including some that sell jewelry and handmade handbags, as well as one that will be demonstrating how to weave rugs.
Higley says the quilt competition will be held indoors, and everyone is encouraged to bring a quilt to show.
The Muscotah Rose Festival will kick off at 8:00 with the car show, and will run until 4:00pm. For more information or to sign up as a vendor, you can contact Higley at 785-872-3245.
