(KNZA)-- The search continues for a new Brown County Appraiser.
The County Commission has voted to offer the position to two individuals during the last two weeks. However, both have declined the offers. The two were among three interviewed by the Commission.
The Commission is expected to discuss at their meeting Monday how they plan to proceed.
The position became open in late February following the unexpected death of Paula Jones who had held the position for the last six years.
Anna Porter, with the state Property Valuation Division, is assisting the county in filling the void until a new appraiser is hired.
