(KNZA)--The Brown County Rescue Squad’s new truck is ready for service.
Rescue Squad President Duke Koperich brought the new vehicle to the courthouse last week to show County Commissioners.
The Commission approved the purchase of the 2015 Ford F550 XLT crew cab last July from North Carolina-based VT Hackney Inc.for just over $159,000., The county paid for the new truck..
It replaces a late 90’s truck, which Rescue Squad officials said wasn’t very efficient.
The Rescue Squad, which is manned by volunteers, responds to all major calls in the county—including injury wrecks and structure fires.
