(KAIR)--The Atchison County Commission has started the process of producing a budget for 2016.
Commission Chair Jeff Schuele says the budget schedule was set during a recent County Commission meeting, and that Commissioners “plan on meeting with all department heads initially May 12th at 2:00 during a Commission meeting then outlay the time frame. We will start doing initial budget workshops with department heads commencing May 26th, and we plan on having everything ready for the August 12th meeting date to get ready to go to publisher.”
Schuele says the budget should be approved and submitted by August 25th.
