Mound City, Missouri -- Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) is working with Remington Nature Center to present the 2015 Missouri Junior Duck Stamp art work. The Junior Duck Stamp Program gives students across the nation recognition for their waterfowl art. Staff of Squaw Creek NWR encourages everyone to take this opportunity to see the amazing art work of Missouri students. This year duck stamp art will be on display here in northwest Missouri for art and wildlife enthusiasts wishing to view winning pieces from the 2015 Missouri contest. Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge will be displaying art work in the refuge headquarters from April 13th – April 29th 2015. The art will be available weekdays from 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. and weekend 10:00am through 4:00 PM. Remington Nature Center in Saint Joseph Missouri will be displaying Junior Duck stamp winners from May 1st- May 26th. The Remington Nature Center has daily hour of operation from 10:00AM- 5:PM.

The Fish and Wildlife Service’s Federal Duck Stamp Office makes the national winner’s stamp available for $5.00. Proceeds from the Junior Duck Stamp sales are used to support environmental education efforts and awards for contest winners. The program is nationally coordinated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Arlington, VA. The Junior Duck Stamp Program has many benefits. It introduces school-age children to the natural world. It instills a sense of individual responsibility in the maintenance of our environment. The program benefits waterfowl and their habitats as well as all migratory birds and hundreds of plants and animals that share wetland habitats.
