(KLZA)-- McPherson & Jacobson, the recruitment firm hired to assist the Pawnee City School Board in selecting a new superintendent has released the names of the four finalists for the position as selected by the Board.
Interviews are scheduled for Tuesday, April 14th and the Board hopes to have a new Superintendent hired by April 20th to begin work on July 1.
Selected to be interviewed are Darron Arlt, currently the Middle school Principal at Central City Public Schools. He has 12 years experience as a principal or assistant principal. He received his Educational Specialist Degree from Wayne State College.
Steve Joonas, Director of Special Education with the Clay County USD 379, District in Clay Center, Kansas has 9 years experience as a Superintendent and seven years as a Principal or Assistant Principal. He has a Masters’ Degree with Superintendent Licensure form Kansas State University.
Brian Rottinghaus is a Virtual Teacher, at Manhattan Virtual Academy in Manhattan, Kansas. He has a Masters’ Degree and Superintendent Licensure from Kansas State University and Emporia State University. He has four years experience as a Principal or Assistant Principal.
The fourth candidate to be interviewed is Mike Williams. Williams is currently the Superintendent at Maywood Public Schools, Maywood, Nebraska. Williams has four years experience as a Superintendent and a dozen years experience as a Principal or Assistant Principal. Williams has an Education Specialist Degree from the University of South Dakota.
