(KNZA)--The body of a man found in a pond in St. Joseph has been identified.
St. Joseph Police Wednesday identified the body as that of 62-year-old Eddie Dewayne Wise, of St. Joseph.
The body was found Tuesday afternoon in Corby Pond by two children fishing.
Investigators are calling the death of Wise as suspicious in nature.
KQ2-TV reports police spent Tuesday evening and Wednesday searching a home near 35th and Sacramento. It’s unclear why investigators were searching the home, but authorities confirm it’s connected with the body being found.
An investigation is ongoing.
