(KLZA)-- Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin the week of March 30 on Nebraska Highway 41 east of Sterling from mile post 92.16 to 103.50, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads.
Constructors, Inc. of Lincoln, Nebraska, has the $4,351,044 contract to extend culverts, widen the roadway, mill and resurface the existing roadway with asphaltic concrete, and replace cable guardrail.
Traffic on this 11.33-mile project will be controlled by one-lane work zones, utilizing a pilot car and flaggers. The project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2015.
The Department of Roads' project manager is Bill Jasa of Tecumseh. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously through construction zones.
