(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners received proposals for financing a proposed jail facility being planned at the former National Guard Armory on the west edge of Falls City when they met Tuesday.
Proposals were received from Smith Hayes Financial Services Corporation, Ameritas, D.A. Davidson & Company, Edward Jones and American National Bank. Commissioners accepted the proposals for the purpose of further review and comparability.
Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert reported work on the Tynon Bridge southeast of Stella has now begun. He also noted the Verdon Northwest bridge project will be let out for bid by the Nebraska Department of Roads with construction to possibly begin this fall.
Kevin Cluskey, new Director of the Southeast District Health Department met with the Board to introduce himself. He said the Commissioners would be updated on the purpose of the Health Department and future activities and programs.
