(KNZA)--Forced entry into a rural Havensville residence leads to the theft of an antique stove, valued at more than $1,000.
That word from Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat, who says the crime happened near Savannah Road and Havensville Road, and is believed to have occurred before, or close to, March 5th.
The wood burning stove, printed with the words “Royal Charter Oak” in the center, is blue with black legs and chrome trim, has a hood on the back and four burners on top. The owner reports it's made of cast iron, and very heavy, meaning it would likely require equipment, or several persons, to move it.
Riat says a reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of whoever's responsible for the burglary and theft, and related information should be provided to the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office at (785) 457-3353.
