(KAIR)--A continuance has been granted in the case of an Atchison man accused of child abuse.
34-year-old Christopher McNeal appeared in Atchison County District Court Friday morning, where Judge Martin Asher set a new court appearance date for March 6th, following a request from McNeal's attorney Andrew Werring.
McNeal was arrested on February 4th in Clay County, Missouri, after an investigation by the Atchison Police Department determined that he allegedly caused serious injuries to the head and abdomen of a 2-year-old child.
McNeal remains in the Atchison County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
