(KNZA)--A St. Joseph man charged in a shooting last month that left a Troy man dead and his ex-wife seriously injured waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday.
The St. Joseph News Press reports the case against 34-yer-old Daron Simpson was bound over to Buchanan County Circuit Judge Daniel Kellogg, with an appearance scheduled later this month.
Simpson is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of 36-year-old Andrew Clary at a residence north of Faucett early January 24th. He’s also charged with felony first-degree assault for the wounding of Amanda Simpson, who survived the shooting.
Daron Simpson turned himself into authorities shortly after the shootings.
