(KAIR)--An Atchison man has been taken into custody in connection with a 2014 residential burglary case.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, several items, including electronic equipment, jewelry, and financial cards. were taken from a home located in the 1000 block of North Tenth Street in mid May. The total value of the items taken is approximately $5,000.
A police investigation led to 20-year-old Atchison native Dalton Dyer being named as a suspect in the case. Dyer had been serving time in state prison on unrelated charges during the investigation, but was released earlier this week.
Dyer was arrested Wednesday on an Atchison County District Warrant for burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property. He remains in the Atchison County Jail.
