(KAIR)--A Leavenworth man is dead following a double vehicle accident in Wyandotte County Tuesday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol identifies the victim as 45-year-old William Ferguson, Junior, who died when the load of lumber he was hauling crushed the cab of his truck.
The Patrol reports that happened when a car, driven by 79-year-old Basehor resident Carol Sneed, turned in front of the truck, causing Ferguson to brake abruptly.
Sneed was transported to an area hospital but reportedly suffered no injuries.
The fatal accident happened shortly before 9:00 on westbound K-32 at 78th Street in Kansas City, Kansas.
