(KAIR)--A workshop designed to assist current and prospective farmer's market vendors is set to take place in Atchison this weekend.
The workshop is one of five supported by the Kansas Department of Heath and Environment and K-State Research and Extension. Topics scheduled to be discussed include vendor marketing and safe food practices, value-added foods, and accepting non cash payments.
A $25 per person fee covers the cost of the conference, including lunch. Registration forms can be found at fromthelandofkansas.com/FMConference.
The workshop will be held at the Atchison campus of Highland Community College. The event is scheduled to start at 9:00am and end at 3:00pm.
