(KAIR)--More candidates have filed for various elections in Atchison County.
According to City Clerk Deb Clem, Mike Hein, David Hausmann, and Charles Perdue have file for election to the Atchison City Commission. Hein filed Monday, while Perdue and Hausman filed on Tuesday.
They join Luke Jesnowski and current Commissioners Rita Hartman and Jack Bower in the race. The six candidates are vying for three open seats on the Commission.
In other Atchison County election news, County Clerk Pauline Lee reports that Huron Mayor Jacqetta Peak has filed for re-election to the City Council, and Bob Myers has filed for the Muscotah mayoral election.
Also, Joel McNerny and Stephanie Moore have filed for election to the USD 377 Board of Education's position three spot currently held by Lori Lanter; and Nancy Keith will challenge Mike Lee for the At Large position on the Board.
No primary elections will be held, and the general election is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 7th.
