(KAIR)--A continuance has been granted in the case of an Atchison man accused of sex crimes against a child.
37-year-old Charles Philips made an appearance in Atchison County District Court Friday morning, and Judge Martin Asher set a new court date for January 23rd. Philips will have an attorney appointed to his case by that time.
Philips was arrested earlier this week after a police investigation showed that he had allegedly abused the female victim multiple times over a three year period starting in the fall of 2011 when she was 11-years-old.
