(KAIR)--The city of Atchison is inviting residents to take part in a contest to rename the Atchison Heritage Conference Center.
Assistant City Manager Becky Anderson says that the city wanted to give the facility a fresh start, and a updated, more modern name after assuming operation late last year.
You can submit your suggestions for the new name to Anderson, by e mailing her at beckya@cityofatchison.com. The deadline to submit an entry is Friday, February 13th. Contestants should include their address and phone number with their entry.
If the winning name is submitted by more than one person, the winner will be the first one received. In addition to the recognition received from naming the facility, the winner will also get $50 in Chamber of Commerce gift certificates.
