(KAIR)--The Atchison Area Chamber of Commerce lost one of their own Tuesday when board member, and former President Marc Schmucker passed away.
Chamber President Jacque Pregont remembers Schmucker as a hard working and very supportive member of the board. She says that “I always felt like Marc always supported me as well as anybody that has been Chair of my Board. He was kind of a no nonsense kind of guy, and just wanted to get things done, and he was pretty special actually”.
Pregont says that Schmucker's years of Human Resources experience with Bradken enabled him to be a great source of information for the board's Workforce Development Council, and that he loved to attend Chamber events with his wife of thirty six years:
Services for Marc Schmucker will be held Friday evening at 7:00. He is survived by his wife, three children, four siblings, his mother and step-father, and five grandchildren.
