Federal Charges For Former Marysville Postal Worker

(KMZA)--A former Marysville postal employee has been indicted on federal charges related to the theft of mail. 

The U.S. Attorney’s office says Carissa Nestor is accused of committing the crimes while employed at the Marysville post office. 

The 34-year-old Blue Rapids resident has now been formally charged in federal court on one count of theft of mail by a postal employee. 

The crime allegedly happened last year, from October 24th through October 31st. 

If convicted, Nestor faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000 dollars.
